INDIANAPOLIS - The Georgia College & State University's men's tennis team (14-3, 12-1 PBC) is ranked second in the latest NCAA Southeast Region Poll released Wednesday, April 22.

The Bobcats were in a two-way tie for first in the most recent ranking with Peach Belt Conference (PBC) rival, Armstrong Atlantic State University, before the Pirates won the PBC Tournament April 19.

The rankings are used to choose the teams that make the NCAA Tournament in May. The Southeast Region will send 12 teams to the tourney. The three conference championship tournament winners receive bids, leaving nine at-large selections chosen from the poll. AASU took the PBC Tournament title, with the South Atlantic Conference (SAC) playing its semifinal round Friday, April 24. Anderson University won the Conference Carolinas tournament title.

Georgia College awaits the selection for the NCAA Regional Tournaments, which will begin play May 7.
