#6 Georgia College Shuts Out Saints 5-0

JONESBORO,Ga. - The No. 1 seed GeorgiaCollege & State University men's tennis team blanked NorthGeorgia, the No. 8 seed,  5-0 today (April 18) in the secondround of the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Championships.

Georgia College took all three doubles matches and won at firstand sixth singles to take the match. At the PBC tourney they playthe first team to reach five points wins the match.

Robert Angelucci(Acworth,Ga.) and Erick Siqueira(Sao Paulo,Brazil) teamed up at thirddoubles and defeated the duo of Daniel Aguilon and Brandon Sloan8-2, the largest margin of victory for the Bobcats.

At first doubles, the Sao Paulo duo of JoaoCasagrande and FrancisYoshimoto beat the twosome of Grant Partrick andAdrien Saulais 8-5. Giovane Nucci(Santa Catarina,Brazil) and Max Beliankou(Minsk,Belarus) edged Samuel Moore andLuciano Paes Neto 8-6 at second doubles.   

Siqueira shutout Neto 6-0, 6-0 at first singles.

Casagrande sealed the victory for the Bobcats defeating Sloan6-0, 6-2.

The Bobcats will now face the No. 5 seed, USC Aiken, latertoday, April 18 at 6:30 p.m.
