#7 Men’s Tennis Prepped for Catfight, Head to NCAA Sweet-16

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The No. 7 Georgia College & State University men's tennis squad (17-3) heads to Altamonte Springs, Fla. for the NCAA Division II Finals, standing four wins away from a school first: The NCAA Division II Championship.

The first obstacle is No. 20 Abilene Christian University Wednesday, May 13 at 8 a.m. The Wildcats, members and champions of the Lone Star Conference, are 26-7, tied for the most victories among the 16 teams left. They've won their last five.

The Bobcats have won six of their last seven, including Saturday's 5-0 blanking of No. 9 Columbus State University in the Regional Championship. Georgia College is led by Southeast Region Senior Player of the Year No. 8 Erick Siqueira (Sao Paulo, Brazil) as well as classmates No. 15 Justin Pickham (Armidale, Australia) and No. 24 Francis Yoshimoto (Sao Paulo, Brazil). Yoshimoto leads the team in wins at 17-3, with Pickham at 13-3 and Siqueira at 13-5.
