Bobcat Men Never Trail to win First of Season, 95-73

DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The Georgia College Men's Basketball team (1-1) led from start to finish in taking their first win of the 2018-19 season Saturday, a 95-73 victory over North Greenville University (1-1).

The Bobcats had balanced scoring with each of the 12 players to get in the game reaching the scoring column. Four Bobcats hit double-digits led by 15 each from sophomores Jordan Thomas (Conyers) and Chapin Rierson (Calhoun). Thomas hit 6-of-10 from the field with three from long range, and Rierson did him one better at 6-for-9 with a trio of three pointers.

Junior Kohl Roberts (Atlanta) added 14 points and a game-high nine boards. Classmate Colton Collins (Etobicoke, Ontario) knocked down three from long range and finished with 13 points.

The Bobcats hit 17 threes in the game, the most by a Bobcat Men's Basketball team since Dec. 3, 2009 when the Bobcats hit 24 against Carver Bible College. Georgia College hit half of their long-distance attempts, going 17-for-34.

GC Men's Basketball hit 49 percent from the field (33-67) and also hit well from the free throw line, making 12-of-18.

The Bobcats are back in action Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. for the home opener, taking on Shorter University.
