MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College men's basketball program and head coach Mark Gainous announced the signing of Chaz Berry Monday.
"We are excited Chaz decided to sign with our program," said Gainous. "Chaz has good size for a guard who can make shots from the perimeter. I am looking forward to working with him this season."
Berry comes to Georgia College from Fayette County High in Fayetteville, Ga., where he played under long time Tiger head coach Andre Flynn. A 6-foot-3 shooting guard, he averaged 15 points, four rebounds, and two assists per game this season. Berry made 71 three pointers at 38 percent for the Tigers in 2013-14.
He was All Region First Team (5AAAA), All-Fayette County Second Team and was named to the Dorman Classic All-Tournament Team. The Tigers made it to the Sweet 16 and finished their season 21-8.
The 2014-15 edition of Georgia College men's basketball looks to kick off the season in mid-November. Stay tuned to www.GCBobcats.com for more information.
