MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College men's basketball program and assistant coach Mark Gainous announced the signing of Darrius Miles Friday.
"We are excited Darrius decided to join our program," said Gainous. "He is an efficient player on offense and plays hard on the defensive end. I am looking forward to working with Darrius and expect great things from him."
A 6-foot-3 wing, Miles comes to Georgia College from Atlanta Metropolitan College where he played under long time Trailblazers head coach Robert Pritchett.
Miles finished fifth in the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) in scoring at 18.7 points per game. He also averaged 6.8 rebounds per contest while shooting 47 percent from the field, 33 percent from the three-point line, and 78 percent from the charity stripe.
Miles was an All-Conference Second Team selection this past season. The Trailblazers finished fourth in conference play going 12-8 and 18-12 overall. He graduated from Washington High in Atlanta.
