MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College men's basketball program and head coach Terry Sellers announced the signing of Demario McMillian Friday.
McMillian, a 6-foot-6 forward, comes to Georgia College from Lake Land College in Mattoon, Ill. He led his team in field goal percentage (65 percent), rebounding (6.2) and blocked shots (2.4) per game. McMillian also averaged 6.7 points per contest. His 73 blocks on the season placed him 19th in the NJCAA (Division I).
"We are excited that Demario decided to join our program," said Sellers. "He is a good prospect with experience that also fills a huge need at the forward position. We expect Demario to make an immediate impact to our team."
Lake Land finished their season 22-9 (11-5 in conference play) under head coach Cedric Brown.
The Park Forest, Ill. native played his high school basketball at Rich East High.
The Bobcats finished the 2013-14 season with a 10-16 mark, landing three on the PBC All-Academic Team, the most for a single season in program history.
