MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Sophomore Terrell Harris (Indiantown, Fla.) of the Georgia College men's basketball team (8-12, 4-9 PBC) was named the most recent Bobcat Athlete of the Week, for the week ending Feb. 9. This marks the second such honor for Harris, and the fourth for the Bobcat men's basketball team this season.
Harris responded well to his return to the starting lineup this week, averaging 23.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per contest over two games. The week started with #10 University of Montevallo, where Harris scored 22 points with three boards. Then in the win over Georgia Southwestern State University Saturday, the sophomore exploded for 21 second-half points, helping the Bobcats erase a double-digit deficit for a 72-64 win. Harris finished with 25 points on 10-of-14 shooting, with seven rebounds. He netted 13 points in the final 10 minutes of the second half, taking the team on his shoulders for the win.
The Bobcats are back in action at home Saturday, Feb. 15 at 5:30 p.m., taking on Columbus State University for Georgia College's annual Homecoming game.
