MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College athletic department is proud to announce that for the second-straight season, all home games during the 2012-13 men’s and women’s basketball season will be available to watch through the Bobcat Ustream channel.

The broadcast of home games is part of a continued effort to increase focus on new media and to make it easier for Georgia College fans, family and friends to follow Bobcat sports. Games can be viewed at www.Ustream.tv/GCBobcats.

“We’re thrilled about the continuation of basketball as a part of our video lineup on Ustream,” Al Weston GC Sports Information Director said. “Our broadcasts in the past have been great, but the ability to add increased video quality to the mix is very exciting. Students will run the broadcasts, so it also aligns with educational experiences here at Georgia College.”

This is the second year that the Bobcats have teamed with Ustream for live broadcasts; this is also the second year that Georgia College basketball will be available on Ustream.

The first home game will be an exhibition match for the women’s team against Wesleyan College Monday, Nov. 5 at 6 p.m. Every home game will be broadcast on Ustream, including the first Peach Belt Conference (PBC) game, a doubleheader with both teams taking on Georgia Southwestern State University Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m. The Senior Day matchup against Armstrong, also a doubleheader, will be the final regular season broadcast when the Bobcats take on the Pirates Saturday, March 2 at 3:30 p.m.

The Georgia College Department of Athletics, two-time winners of the PBC Commissioner's Cup, sponsors 11 varsity athletic programs at the NCAA Division II level.
