by Andrew Horvath, sports information student assistant

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga – The Georgia College men’s basketball team has added a new volunteer assistant coach from Peach Belt Conference (PBC) foe Flagler College. Head coach Terry Sellers would like to welcome Chris Ryan to the Bobcat family.

Ryan spent the last four years as a student assistant men’s basketball coach for the Saints and brings experience ranging from basketball counselor to team management to assistant coaching. Ryan served as an important part in the recruitment, conditioning, and day-to-day activities of Flagler’s Basketball program.

"We're really glad to have him," Sellers said. "He's going to be helping out in a lot of different areas and will be an important part of the coaching staff."

Prior to helping Flagler gain some crucial victories, Ryan was involved in basketball operations at Colonia High School in which he also attended. He retained the head student manager title from his Junior to his Senior year in the local New Jersey school and continued similar duties in college.

Ryan obtained his Bachelors Degree in Communication/Public Relations at Flagler College in April of this year and is pursuing a career as a basketball coach.
