GC Men’s Hoops Slotted Seventh in PBC Preseason Poll
AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) released its 2012 PBC Men’s Basketball Preseason Poll Thursday, with the Georgia College squad positioned seventh in the 14-team league.
The Bobcats received 87 total points, just two behind No. 6 Clayton State University. The Bobcats picked up one third place vote and two in the fifth slot. The University of Montevallo earned top honors, just two points ahead of Augusta State University. UNC Pembroke, USC Aiken and Columbus State University round out the top five.
The Bobcats start the 2012-13 season on the road, traveling to the UWF Tip-Off Classic at the University of West Florida. GC takes on Palm Beach Atlantic University Saturday, Nov. 10 at 5 p.m. then battles the host squad Sunday, Nov. 11 at 5 p.m.
