MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Senior Ryan Aquino (Roswell, Ga.) of the Georgia College men’s basketball team (2-0) was named the most recent Bobcat Athlete of the Week. This marks the first such honor for both Aquino and Bobcat men’s basketball this season.
After the team’s perfect 2-0 start for the Bobcats this weekend, Aquino brought home Mom Reeves Tournament MVP honors. Aiding the team in victory, Aquino averaged 21.5 points and 9.0 rebounds over the span of the two games. In the title game against Newberry, Aquino hit a career-high 24 points with 12 rebounds, five assists and five steals.
Bobcat basketball is back in action Tuesday, Nov. 22 at 7:30 p.m. at home taking on Anderson University.
