MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Senior Reece Wiedeman (Suwanee, Ga.) of the Georgia College men’s basketball team (13-8, 7-6 PBC) was named the Bobcat Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feb. 13. This marks the third such honor for Wiedeman, and the fifth for the Bobcat men this season.
Wiedeman averaged 19.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per contest over two big wins this week. His best game was his first, a 25-point, eight-rebound performance in the win over No. 7 Augusta State University Thursday. He was efficient, hitting 10-of-15 from the floor. Wiedeman followed that up with 13 points, five boards and a pair of blocks in the win at USC Aiken Saturday.
The Bobcats are back in action tonight, Feb. 16 at 7:30 p.m., traveling to Georgia Southwestern State University.
