MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - Senior guard Graham Martin (Marietta, Ga.) of the Georgia College & State University men's basketball team (9-2, 2-0 PBC) was named GCSU Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 10. This marks the third such honor for Martin and the fourth for the Bobcat men's basketball team this season.
Martin averaged 16.5 points per game over two big wins this week, helping the team to start 2-0 in conference play. In the win at Lander University Monday, he poured in a game-high 17 points pulled down five boards and added four assists. Then at Clayton State University Saturday, he had another 16 points, including a perfect 8-for-8 from the charity stripe with a team-best four assists. Martin is the lone Bobcat to have scored double figures in each contest this season.
The Bobcats are back in action Wednesday, Jan. 13 at 7:30 p.m. hosting Georgia Southwestern State University at the Centennial Center.
