MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) unveiled its Men's Basketball Preseason All-Conference Team today (Oct. 31) with one Georgia College & State University player making the five-man squad. Senior guard Shaun Keaton (Albany, Ga.) was selected to the team, chosen by the league's sports information directors. In its two-year existence, a player from Georgia College has made the team each year.
This is the first such honor for Keaton, a 2008 All-PBC selection. Keaton was sixth in the PBC in scoring last season with 16.6 points per game. He finished second in the league in three-pointers made and eighth in three-point percentage. Keaton scored in double-digits in 25 contests and 11 games with 20-plus points.
Georgia College tips off their season Friday, Nov. 1 at 7:30 p.m. against the Wildcats of Fort Valley State University at the Centennial Center. The Bobcats return after a 20-9 season in 2007-08. Head coach Terry Sellers enters his 16th season at Georgia College and the Bobcats were picked sixth in the preseason PBC poll.
