Magrino Added to Bobcat Men’s Hoops Coaching Staff

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The Georgia College & State University men's basketball program and head coach Terry Sellers would like to announce the addition of Dan Magrino as graduate assistant coach.

Magrino will work primarily with the Bobcat post players, his area of expertise as a player. He'll also assist with recruiting efforts.

He comes to Georgia College from Northern State (S.D.) University where he played from 2003-2008. The Wolves had a record of 98-28 during his playing career. Magrino double majored in sociology and political science.

"We're excited that Dan will be joining our staff," said Sellers. "He has an outstanding background coming from Northern State under head coach Don Meyer, and we feel will be a great addition to the program."

Originally from Pembroke Pines, Fla., Magrino played at Pembroke Pines Charter High School. He is pursuing a Master's in business administration.

The Bobcats are fresh off a 20-9 season in 2007-08 and are looking to build upon that success with a roster losing just a trio of seniors. Senior center Aaron Clark (2005-08) and junior guard Shaun Keaton (Albany, Ga.) picked up All-PBC honors for the squad, with Clark adding an American Basketball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-South Atlantic Region trophy. The 20-win season was the ninth in school history, six of which have come under Sellers' guidance.
