>>>full poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - On the strength of a 3-0 week, including a win over No. 10 USC Aiken, Georgia College & State University men's basketball (13-2, 7-2 PBC) has leapt into the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC)/Division II Coaches Poll. The Bobcats are No. 24 in the nation, as released today (Jan. 27).

The Bobcats are one of four Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools listed in the national rankings, led by No. 7 Augusta State University. No. 12 Armstrong Atlantic State University and No. 14 USC Aiken round out the quartet.

Georgia College received 19 votes, just two ahead of No. 25 Catawba College and 14 behind No. 23 Northern State University. Findlay University (16-0) remained at No. 1 for the ninth-straight week.

The Bobcats have been on a roll as of late, winning eight of their last nine. The 13-2 overall mark is the best for the school since 1999-2000, a 14-1 start that ended in the Elite Eight round of the NCAA Tournament.

Senior Shaun Keaton (Albany, Ga.) leads the Bobcats in scoring at 14.3 points per game, followed closely by junior guard Graham Martin (Marietta, Ga.) at 12.8. Martin has scored in double digits in each of the last eight. The Bobcats use their depth, as 10 players average 10 minutes or more.

Be sure to catch the Bobcats in their next contest as they take on the Cougars of Columbus State University Wednesday, Jan. 28 at 7:30 p.m. in Milledgeville.
