ATLANTA, Ga. – Georgia College Golf alum Taylor Smith (2013) carded a final round 69 to take the 2018 Georgia Mid-Amateur Championship in May, topping the field at four-under for the three rounds.
Smith grouped the final round with a 72 in round one and 71 in the second at the Piedmont Driving Club May 18-20.
The win gives Smith exempt status to the Georgia Mid-Amateur Championship for 10 years and the Georgia Amateur Championship for five.
Smith had a standout career for Bobcat Golf, reaching Honorable Mention All-America status in 2011-12 and taking a spot on the All-Peach Belt Conference (PBC) team twice in his career.
