MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) announced its All-PBC Men's Golf Teams at the year-end awards banquet Thursday, with a trio of Georgia College student-athletes making the list. Senior Bryan Fox (Roswell, Ga.), senior Victor Monte (Chantilly, Va.) and junior Ryan Trocchio (Norcross, Ga.) were selected, Fox making the first team and the latter two making the second.
This is the first time Fox and Monte have been selected to the All-PBC Team, while Trocchio was previously named to the All-PBC Second Team in 2011-12.
Monte has also been honored by the PBC for academics, twice making the PBC All-Academic Team (2011-12, 2012-13) and also being named a PBC Presidential Scholar (12-13).
Trocchio was named the PBC Freshman of the Year and to the National All-Freshman Team, while also getting an All-American Honorable Mention, all in 2011-12.
Not surprising, but all three were also the top-three on this year's Georgia College team in stroke average. Fox led the team with a 72.5 average, while Monte registered a 74.4 and Trocchio a 74.6. Fox ranks fifth in the conference in stroke average.
Fox has also finished in the top-five three times this season and four times in the top-10. The only other Bobcat to have a top-10 finish was Monte, who did it once.
The Bobcats will take to the links tomorrow for the first two rounds of the PBC Tournament at Callaway Gardens, Ga. The tournament will continue through Saturday.
