AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) announced the Astroturf Men's Golf Player of the Week Thursday, with No. 23 Georgia College senior Bryan Fox (Roswell, Ga.) taking this week's honor.
Fox finished second overall in the Southeastern Collegiate on March 11, his second top-two finish on the season. The senior completed the tournament five strokes under par to post a 54-hole season low score of 211. Fox's first round 69 was the second-lowest round of the tournament. He was able to finish his last two rounds at 71, helping the Bobcats to an eighth place overall finish in the 18 team tournament field. Fox currently leads Georgia College and is ranked sixth in the PBC overall for his 72.5 stroke average.
Fox is the first PBC Golfer of the Week for GC Golf since he took the award Sept. 26, 2013 for his other runner-up finish this season.
The Bobcats are back in action Monday, March 17, playing host to the Bobcat Intercollegiate at Cuscowilla on Lake Oconee.
