MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College golf team officially added Harry Lambert (Suwanee, Ga.) to its 2013 class last week. Lambert hails from Lambert High School in Suwanee.
His 2012 junior tournament highlights include a fifth place finish out of 144 in the Georgia State Junior Championship last June. Rounds of 72-74-71 qualified Lambert for the Georgia/South Carolina Challenge Match team made up of the top eight finishers from each state's respective championship.
Lambert also finished 18th out of 225 competitors in the Future Masters shooting 74-71-71.
His scoring average of 74 through 15 events was highlighted by a second round 65 at a Rome American Junior Golf Association event this year.
The newest Bobcat golf addition is ranked 14th out of all in-state seniors. Lambert has been the MVP golfer at Lambert High since his freshman year.
Academically, Lambert is active in National Honor Society, Interact club and other clubs at Lambert High. His intended major is Business/Marketing with the hope of linking it to a career in golf. Lambert chose Georgia College for excellent education and a quality golf program.
Lambert's parents, Pete and Gail, hail from the United Kingdom. The family moved to the U.S. when the now Bobcat golfer was 13.
