NEW YORK – The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) recently released its Golf World/NikeGolf Preseason National Rankings for Division II, with the Georgia College squad holding down the No. 8 position.
Bobcat golf returns all five starters from a 2011-12 squad that won two tournaments, including the NCAA South/Southeast SuperRegional. GC eventually advanced to the National Quarterfinals, falling in medal match play.
GC received one of the 18 first-place votes, with Nova Southeastern University taking top honors. Barry University was second, with Chico State in third, CSU-Stanislaus in fourth and Peach Belt Conference (PBC) foe USC Aiken rounding out the top five.
The Bobcats take to the links for the first time this season Sept. 10-11 at the SpringHill Suites Intercollegiate in Florence, S.C.
