NEW YORK – The Georgia College golf squad moved up one slot to No. 20 in the most recent Golf World/Nike Golf Division II Coaches Poll, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced recently.
The Bobcats are fifth among the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools listed in the Golf World poll, led by No. 9 UNC Pembroke. USC Aiken is No. 16, with Armstrong a slot behind. Georgia Southwestern State University is just ahead of GC in 19th. Barry University owns the national No. 1 slot in the coaches poll.
The Bobcats are awaiting seeding announcement for the 2012 South/Southeast NCAA SuperRegional, set to begin May 7.
