GC Golf Owns Top-25 Slots in Two National Lists
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College golf squad owns positions in the top-25 for both the Golf World/Nike Golf Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Division II National Poll and the GolfStat Head-to-Head National Rankings. GC is 22nd in the GCAA poll, adding a No. 25 position in GolfStat.
The Bobcats are fourth among the five Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools listed in the Golf World poll, led by No. 5 Georgia Southwestern State University and USC Aiken in 15th. UNC Pembroke is 18th, while Armstrong takes the No. 25 slot. CSU Stanislaus owns the top spot.
In the GolfStat Rankings, the Bobcats are behind No. 13 Georgia Southwestern, No. 18 UNCP, No. 19 USCA and No. 22 Armstrong as conference members. Chico State is No. 1.
These postings came out before the Bobcats took the team title at the 2012 Armstrong Pirate Invitational early this week.
The Bobcats are back in action Monday, March 12 at the Southeastern Collegiate in Valdosta, Ga.
