MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Senior golfer Joe Young (Cochran, Ga.) was named GC Athlete of the Week as announced by the Georgia College Athletic Department.
This marks the second consecutive week that Young has claimed the award, becoming the second Bobcat athlete to accomplish this feat during the 2010-11 school year.
Young led the Bobcats to a third place finish at the Bearcat Invitational, earning the individual title by finishing six under par. He shot a 70 and 68 in the two rounds, bettering the field by two strokes.
The Georgia College golf team continues its season Monday April 11, when they head to Savannah, Ga. for the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Championships. They are coming off an impressive third place finish and are the defending PBC Champions this past Tuesday.
