MARTINEZ, Ga. - Senior Francisco Bide (Buenos Aires, Argentina) of the No. 1 Georgia College & State University men's golf team was named Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Player of the Week the conference office announced Sept. 11. This is the first such award given out by the conference in the fall golf season.
Bide led the Bobcats to victory at the Kiawah Island Invitational hosted PBC member USC Aiken. Bide finished tied for the lead at the first tournament of the year firing a three-under 69 on day two. He shot 141 in the tourney and was beat by Seth Fai of the University of Indianapolis on the first playoff hole. Bide's 69 was the third-lowest round of his career.
Bide and the Bobcats return to the links Sept. 14-15 to compete in the Springhill Suites Intercollegiate Tournament hosted by Francis Marion University.
