MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - After a fourth-place finish at the Richard Rendleman Invitational earlier this week, the Georgia College & State University golf team earned the third spot in the most recent GolfStat Head-to-Head Ranking, released Wednesday.
Barry University jumped to the top spot, while Chico State earned the No. 2 spot. No. 4 Central Missouri and No. 5 University of North Alabama round out the nation's top-five. The Bobcats are one of two Peach Belt Conference (PBC) teams in the top-10, as Lander University leaps from No. 11 to No. 6.
The GolfStat rankings take into effect strength of schedule, head-to-head finishes, and stroke average to attempt to mathematically rank the top teams in collegiate golf.
Head coach Jimmy Wilson's Bobcats are back in action March 15-16 at the Southeastern Collegiate, hosted by Valdosta State University.
