Bobcat Athletics Puts 93 on PBC Presidential Honor Roll
MARTINEZ, Ga. - The Peach Belt Conference (PBC) announced its Presidential Honor Roll recipients, with 93 Georgia College & State University student-athletes making the list. The program honors all student-athletes with a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the 2009-10 academic year.

With this year’s award, Niclas Johansson (Skanor, Sweden) became the first male four-time All-American in Georgia College athletic history.

Bobcats’ Shida Earns Inaugural David Toms Award
SHREVEPORT, La. – Junior Billy Shida (Berkeley Lakes, Ga.) was chosen as the inaugural recipient of the David Toms Award, a new honor created by Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) and the David Toms Foundation to be given annually to a men's collegiate golfer who has overcome adversity to achieve collegiate excellence. Shida beat out golfers from across all three NCAA divisions, the NAIA and junior college golf to receive the honor.

WILSON, N.C. – The No. 2 Georgia College & State University golf team shot its best round of the three Wednesday at the NCAA South/Southeast Super Regional, but the 288 wasn’t enough, as the Bobcats finished 12th, ending their season at Wilson Country Club. Georgia College finished 15 strokes out of fifth, with the top-five squads moving on the NCAA Finals.
