PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. - David Robinson, former Georgia College & State University golfer, has made his way through the second stage of the PGA Qualifying School. Robinson, recent Tar Heel Tour money-winners title holder, finished tied for 11th at the Callaway Gardens-Mountain View Golf Course.
Robinson shot 278 in the four round tourney which put him at 10-under par at the tournament in Pine Mountain.
Robinson, a member of the inaugural Hall of Fame class at Georgia College, is now eligible for the final stage where he will play at the PGA West- Nicklaus Tournament Course and the PGA West- TPC Stadium Course located in La Quinta, Calif. Dec. 3-8.
There will be 156 golfers competing in the final round in La Quinta. All golfers that make it to the final stage are guaranteed some sort of status, either on the Nationwide Tour or PGA Tour.
Robinson remains the only Bobcat golfer to ever earn three All-America accolades.
