GREENWOOD, S.C. – The Georgia College Sassy Cats Dance Team took home third place at the annual Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Spirit Competition Saturday. The Sassy Cats placed only behind Lander University and USC Aiken, who finished first and second, respectively. The competition was held at Lander’s campus in Greenwood.

The Sassy Cats were the reigning PBC Spirit Competition Champions after finishing first in 2016. The Sassy Cats were led by seniors Caylin Sams, Elizabeth Little and Ansley Moore.

The competition also included all-female and co-ed cheerleading, in which Columbus State University swept with victories in both. Columbus State has placed first in the all-female cheer division 16 of the last 18 years. Flagler College placed second in the all-female division and Augusta University placed third.
