Georgia College Dance Team, "The Sassy Cats" are a hip-hop dance team, which has won several Peach Belt Titles and made it to finals at UDA Nationals. Georgia College Dancers perform during halftime at the GC men's and women's basketball games. The dance team will perform at all home basketball games, compete and both Peach Belt and UDA Nationals. The Sassy Cats are looking for strong, passionate dancers, who are extremely dedicated and have a background in hip-hop dancing. If you are interested in trying out, and have little to no experience in hip-hop, we suggest taking a hip-hop workshop or class to prepare.

To be eligible for Dance Team tryouts, students must be currently enrolled, full-time students or incoming freshman/transfer students who have already been accepted for the Fall 2011 semester at Georgia College.  A 2.5 GPA is required for consideration and full time status will be checked during tryouts for eligibility. If these two requirements are not met, the individual will not be allowed to tryout. If selected for the GC Dance Team, all members are required to attend all practices, workouts, performances, and other activities the Advisor, Captain, and Co-Captains deem necessary.

Spring tryouts will be held on Monday, Aug. 25 at 6 p.m. in the Centennial Center. Tryouts will include the following:
