Brandon Durden, 4th round pick of the Colorado Rockies (Bobcat 2003-2005) most recently with Class-A Modesto Nuts in the 2009 season
"I chose GCSU because of its strong baseball program and its great academic program! I was impressed with its great academic standards as well as the diverse professors and coaches that I came in contact with. Not only did I learn a great deal in the classroom and on the baseball field, but I feel like I grew as a person and I will always remember the great things I learned while at GCSU!
Christian Castorri, Free Agent sign with the Pittsburgh Pirates (Bobcat 2005-2006) most recently with the Class-AA Altoona Curve in the 2009 season
"I chose GCSU for the winning program and quality college life. The baseball and life lessons I learned from the coaching staff absolutely helped elevate me to the next level and prove to be valuable everyday. I came in not knowing anyone at GCSU and left with a new family."
Michael Antonini, 18th round pick of the New York Mets (Bobcat 2006-2007) most recently with the Class-AA Binghamton Mets in the 2009 season
"I chose to come to GCSU mainly because it was a great opportunity for me to come down to a warm climate program and have the chance compete for valuable innings for a nationally ranked team. GCSU helped prepare me for the next level of baseball and is one of the reasons that I have gotten the chance to follow my lifelong dream, playing professional baseball. Academically GCSU was a great fit for me coming from a JUCO because the campus size was not overwhelming. I made new friends and got to experience the southern way of life. I enjoyed my two years at GCSU and will continue to support the bobcat program."
Andy Reichard, 13th round pick of the San Francisco Giants (Bobcat 2007) most recently with the Class-A Augusta Greenjackets in 2009
"I'm definitely proud of my decision to come to GCSU. The coaching staff takes great pride in the program and developing players. Coach Carty developed me into a much more polished pitcher than I was prior to attending GCSU."
