MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College Baseball team (36-10, 26-4 PBC) has taken top-10 slots in all three Division II National Baseball Rankings this week.
The top position remains in the Perfect Game D2 Rankings, owning the No. 5 slot. The Bobcats are first among four Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools on this list, ahead of No. 7 Columbus State University, No. 11 UNC Pembroke and No. 24 USC Aiken. The Bobcats have wins over two of the four teams positioned ahead of them, as GC Baseball has beaten No. 1 North Greenville University and No. 4 University of Tampa this year.
In the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) D2 Rankings, the Bobcats are No. 8, up one spot from last week. CSU is No. 14, and the only other PBC school in the top-25. North Greenville is top-ranked in this list as well.
In the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper (CBN) D2 Rankings, the Bobcats moved up four spots to No. 8, their highest position this season. CSU is No. 9, UNCP No. 17 and USC Aiken No. 25. The Crusaders of NGU are tops on this list as well.
The Bobcats are in action Friday, May 4 at 6 p.m. at John Kurtz Field as they take on Winston-Salem State University.
