MADISON, Wis. – Former Georgia College righthander Matt LaMothe (2012-13) has joined Madison College as an assistant coach for their baseball squad.
LaMothe spent two years on the roster for the Bobcats, after a redshirt season in 2011. An All-Peach Belt Conference (PBC) reliever in 2012, the Bobcat alum is best remembered for an amazing run in the 2013 PBC Tournament, guiding the Bobcats to their first tournament title.
The PBC Tournament MVP, LaMothe had two complete games in the effort, beating Columbus State University 8-5 in the opener and the University of Montevallo 3-2 in the title game. He also added another eight strong innings allowing two runs in a win over USC Aiken at the NCAA Regional that year.
Madison member of the North Central Community College Conference (N4C) as part of NJCAA Region 4.
