WINNIPEG, Canada – Georgia College baseball alum Michael Antonini (2006-07) was recently named to the Can-Am League All-Star South team and participated in the all-star game in Winnipeg.
The former Bobcat who plays for the New Jersey Jackals pitched two-thirds of an inning, which left the North scoreless. Antonini's shutout inning helped the South to a 7-0 win.
Earlier this season Antonini set a Can-Am League record July 12 with 15 strikeouts against the Lincoln Saltdogs, a 10-2 Jackals victory. He surrendered just one run over seven frames with five hits and zero walks. That effort earned Antonini his third Pointstreak Pitcher of the Week honor.
