SALISBURY, N.C. – Rawlings and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) announced the Division II Region Gold Glove Award Winners for 2014, with Georgia College senior Rob Hogenkamp (St. Louis) earning a spot on the Southeast Region team.
Hogenkamp took one of three outfield spots, an even more impressive feat considering he played mainly third and second base for the Bobcats as a junior.
Patrolling centerfield for the Bobcats this season from start to finish, the senior posted a .993 fielding percentage, committing just one error in 145 total chances, adding four outfield assists, tying for the team lead.
Hogenkamp is the first Region Gold Glove honoree in recorded history for Bobcat Baseball.
