MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College baseball program continues their strong 2014 campaign by maintaining positions in the top 10 in all four national organizations.
In the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper (CBN) rankings, the Bobcats jumped back from the No. 9 slot to now No. 6. Lander University still holds the No. 2 position. Columbus State University has moved down from No. 19 to No. 25 and UNC Pembroke has moved up from No. 22 to No. 20.
After another week of play, the Bobcats remain at No. 7 for the National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association (NCBWA). They come in behind No. 2 Lander. UNC Pembroke has climbed the ladder from the No. 25 spot to No. 16 and Columbus State has now fallen to No. 22. Although receiving votes, USC Aiken has been left out of the top 25.
In the College Baseball Lineup (CBL) poll, the Bobcats maintain the No. 8 position. Lander continues at No. 2 as well as USC Aiken at No. 7, UNC Pembroke at No. 16 and Columbus State at No. 26.
GC baseball remains at No. 6 on D2BaseballNews.com (D2BBN). There are still five other teams representing the Peach Belt (PBC) in the poll, as the Bobcats take the second highest position for the conference just behind No. 2 Lander.
The Bobcats are on the road at today, April 2 at Erskine College, a 3 p.m. start.
