MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College baseball program hung on to top-10 National Rankings from all four organizations this week, as the Bobcats have posted 12 wins in their last 13 games.
Georgia College dipped two slots in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper (CBN) poll, coming in at No. 9. The Bobcats are second among Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools, behind No. 2 Lander and ahead of No. 14 USC Aiken, No. 19 Columbus State University and No. 22 UNC Pembroke.
In the CBL poll, the Bobcats dropped one spot to take No. 8. Lander is No. 2 in this poll as well, with USCA at No. 7, UNCP at No. 16 and Columbus State at No. 26.
For the National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association (NCBWA), the Bobcats stayed put at No. 7. The Bobcats are behind one PBC school in No. 2 Lander. CSU comes in at No. 13, while USCA makes an appearance at No. 19 and UNCP No. 25.
GC baseball actually jumped two spots in D2BaseballNews.com, (D2BBN) as the Bobcats are now No. 6, their highest position among the four. In the D2BBN poll, the Bobcats are second among the five PBC schools in that ranking, behind only No. 2 Lander University.
The squad will be back in action and on the road Saturday, March 29 at Carson-Newman.
