Bobcat Baseball Improves in All National Polls
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College baseball program owns an 14-4 overall mark, and wins in eight of its last nine games. The Bobcats have been rewarded with jumps in all four Division II Baseball National Ranking lists.
The highest position for GC baseball comes from College Baseball Lineup (CBL). In the CBL poll, the Bobcats moved up five spots to No. 9. Georgia College is third among five Peach Belt Conference (PBC) schools in this listing, behind No. 3 Lander University and No. 7 USC Aiken.
In the D2BBN poll, the Bobcats own No. 11, second among the four (PBC) schools in that ranking and behind only No. 5 Lander.
For the National Collegiate Baseball Writers' Association (NCBWA), the national poll consisted of three PBC teams including Georgia College. The Bobcats took the No. 12 spot jumping up from last week's No. 19. Lander took the highest position at No. 4 and USC Aiken was No. 16.
Georgia College moved five slots in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper (CBN) poll, lifting to No. 21 after a 4-0 mark last week. The Bobcats are again third among the four PBC schools, behind No. 4 Lander and No. 12 USC Aiken; and ahead of No. 26 UNC Pembroke.
