MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – A member of the 2014 incoming Georgia College baseball class, South Georgia College transfer Tyler Bashlor, was chosen recently in the 2013 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.
Bashlor was chosen by the New York Mets in the 11th round, the 326th overall pick.
Baseball America's No. 2 prospect in the Futures Collegiate League last summer, Bashlor is viewed by the Mets with strong potential as a closer.
