SALISBURY, N.C. – Junior shortstop Daniel Bick (Alpharetta, Ga.) of the No. 25 Georgia College baseball team (36-19) picked up his third All-Southeast Region honor of the year this week as the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) announced he was chosen to the Rawlings second team.
Bick was named to the second team of both the Daktronics and National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) as well this year. He hit .363 with three home runs and 41 RBI this season, having started every contest. Bick ranked second in the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) in runs (72) and sixth in stolen bases (17).
All-time, the Bobcats have put 54 players on the two-team recognition program's list. Designated hitter Cody Maas (Alpharetta, Ga.) was the most recent honoree, taking a first-team nod in 2012.
The season has come to a close for the Bobcats, a year where they went 36-19, winning the first PBC Tournament Championship in school history, and came two wins short of a trip to the College World Series. The Bobcats put three on the All-PBC Teams, and now Bick has been recognized as all-region by all organizations.
