PEMBROKE, N.C. – Junior shortstop Daniel Bick (Alpharetta, Ga.) of the No. 25 Georgia College baseball team (36-19) picked up his second All-Southeast Region honor of the year this week as the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) announced he was chosen to the second team.
Bick was named Daktronics All-Southeast Region Second Team this year as well. He is hitting .363 with three home runs and 41 RBI this season, having started every contest. He ranks second in the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) in runs (72) and sixth in stolen bases (17).
All-time, GC baseball has put 11 student-athletes on the NCBWA All-Region squads. The most recent were shortstop Tanner Funk and outfielder Shawn Ward in 2011.
The season has come to a close for the Bobcats, a year where they went 36-19, winning the first PBC Tournament Championship in school history, and came two wins short of a trip to the College World Series. The Bobcats put three on the All-PBC Teams, and now Bick has been recognized as all-region by two organizations.
