Former GC Baseball Coach Earns Scout Award

MILLVILLE, Del. – Former Georgia College head baseball coach Chris Calciano was recently honored as the George Digby Scouting Award recipient, given annually to the top scout in the Boston Red Sox organization.

Calciano was the Bobcat head coach from 2005-07, compiling a 132-48 career mark. Under his guidance, GC won a pair of Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Championships.

He left the coaching profession to take the scouting position for the Red Sox, his territory including Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and Delaware.
