Bobcats Ranked High in Numerous Polls

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – The Georgia College baseball team (9-2) has stayed among the elite in the most recent Division II polls, even moving up significantly in one following their sweep of Pfeiffer University this past weekend.
The Bobcats are ranked No. 3 in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Division II Poll released Monday, Feb. 21. Preceding GC are U.C. San Diego and Florida Southern College. The University Tampa, a team the Bobcats took 2-of-3 to open the season, is ranked No. 4.
The NCBWA ranks GC No. 1 in the Southeast Region Top-10. Fellow Peach Belt Conference (PBC) members UNC Pembroke, North Georgia, USC Aiken and Armstrong Atlantic also ranked in the region.
The Bobcats moved up five spots to No. 4 in the College Baseball Lineup Division II Top 30. They sit behind UC San Diego, Central Missouri and Florida Southern again.
Georgia College will take on Philadelphia University in a four-game set beginning Friday, Feb. 25 at 6 p.m. at John Kurtz Field.
