PASKO, Wash. – Former Georgia College baseball standout Richard Pirkle (2007-11) was recently drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the MLB First-Year Player Draft, and has reported to his minor league assignment.
Pirkle has joined the roster of the Tri-City Dust Devils, members of the Northwest League of Professional Baseball, a Class-A Short Season squad. He is one of three catchers on the roster.
He has not seen any game action yet, as the Dust Devils are just four games into their schedule.
