MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Senior righthander Eric Pettepher (Gordon, Ga.) of the No. 19 Georgia College baseball team (32-15, 12-9 PBC) was named Bobcat Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 24. This is the first such honor for Pettepher and the second for Bobcat baseball this season.
Pettepher went the distance for his second complete-game victory of the season Friday in the 4-3 win over Erskine College. He scattered eight hits and three runs over nine innings, fanning six. The righty shut down nine batters in a row at one point.
The Bobcats are back in action Friday, April 29 at 7 p.m., hosting No. 14 Armstrong Atlantic.
