Bobcat Baseball Remains Among Nation’s Best

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – After taking two-straight Peach Belt Conference (PBC) series, the Georgia College & State University baseball team (17-10, 9-3) continues to move up in the Collegiate Baseball Magazine NCAA Division II Coaches’ Poll. The Bobcats even cracked into the PING! Baseball Poll.

Georgia College took over the No. 16 spot in the Collegiate Baseball Magazine Poll after taking two of three from PBC foe USC Aiken this past weekend. GCSU is one of seven Peach Belt schools to be ranked in the poll. Columbus State University leads all PBC schools at No. 8 while USC Aiken is tied at No. 10. At No. 12 is North Georgia, followed by No. 14 Francis Marion University, UNC Pembroke at No.17 and Georgia Southwestern is tied at No. 30.  

The Bobcats are one of six Peach Belt teams in the latest PING! Poll and ranked at No. 26. The conference took the seventh through the ninth spots with Francis Marion, Columbus State and USC Aiken at those respective positions. At No. 24 is North Georgia and UNC Pembroke is right behind them at No. 25.
