MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Outfielder Sean Harrell (Martinez, Ga.) was named Georgia College & State University Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 14. This marks Harrell’s first honor on the season and the second-straight for the Bobcat baseball team in 2010.
Harrell was an offensive machine for Georgia College in the three-game series against Augusta State University this past weekend. The outfielder hit 10-for-15 (.667), including two doubles and two home runs, one of which was a grand slam. Harrell had 10 RBI and scored six runs for the Bobcats as they swept the Jaguars. After the weekend series, Harrell leads the team with 31 hits, 25 runs scored and eight doubles. He also added a 4-for-5 game with four runs and an RBI in the loss at Erskine College Wednesday, March 9.
Georgia College hits the field against Lenoir-Rhyne University Tuesday, March 16 at 7 p.m. at John Kurtz Field.
