Bobcat Baseball #8 in NCBWA Southeast Region

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - Head coach Tom Carty's Georgia College & State University baseball team (7-4) found their way into the first National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) region rankings of the 2010 season. The Bobcats are ranked No. 8 in the Southeast Region Poll.
The Bobcats have won seven-straight games including a four-game sweep of Millersville University and taking three games from the University of Indianapolis.
Georgia College is one of seven schools from the Peach Belt Conference (PBC) to make the NCBWA region poll. Francis Marion University and Columbus State University are ranked No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. Lander University took No. 6 while Armstrong Atlantic State University is at No. 7. USC Aiken and North Georgia rounded out the top-10.
Carty's ‘Cats return to the ballfield Friday, March 5 at 6 p.m. against North Georgia, kicking off PBC play.
