Bobcat Baseball #7 in NCBWA Region Poll

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. - The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) National and Regional Polls were recently released with the No. 27 Georgia College & State University team was slotted seventh in the Southeast Region.
Head coach Tom Carty's club finished third in the conference last year with a 37-19, 16-11 Peach Belt Conference (PBC) mark, tallying six straight 30 plus-win seasons.
The Bobcats are one of five PBC school listed in the regional poll. PBC favorite USC Aiken sits atop the Southeast Region. Francis Marion University is second, North Georgia placed fourth and UNC Pembroke at ninth finished out the PBC schools making the regional list.
The first regular season NCBWA poll will be released March 1.
Georgia College hits the field Friday, Feb. 5 against No. 7 University of Tampa in a home doubleheader starting at 3 p.m.
